Open Enrollment for the 2019 Marketplace health insurance is underway.
According to a release from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange is helping to ensure Kentuckians are prepared, informed and have the resources they need to choose a 2019 health plan.
Open enrollment runs through December 15, with coverage beginning January 1, 2019. Many Kentuckians who do not make any changes will be automatically re-enrolled, but everyone is encouraged to check the status of their enrollment and selected coverage options.
Officials add that 80% of Kentuckians enrolled in the exchange qualify for tax credits or subsidies that reduce monthly health insurance premiums.
