A Hopkinsville man was arrested over the Labor Day weekend after police reportedly found several grams of meth, cocaine, marijuana, and a handgun in an abandoned house.
Police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Vine Street Sunday evening shortly before 7:30 regarding a male with a gun. Officers found 35-year old Tony Bowen, who ran inside a home on South Vine Street, fled out the back door, and then jumped over some fences. Bowen was taken into custody in the 700 block of Howell Street.
Police say a witness identified Bowen as the man who pointed a gun at the victim. A police K-9 unit then tracked to an abandoned house behind 160 South Vine Street where officers say they found and seized a Glock 9mm gun, over four grams of crack cocaine, two grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and synthetic marijuana and scales.
Bowen was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with trafficking meth over two grams, trafficking cocaine four grams or greater, trafficking synthetic drugs, trafficking marijuana less than eight ounces, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
