A second person has died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle wreck that occurred Monday in Logan County. According to Latham Funeral Home, 84-year old Ethel Mae Poe of Elkton passed away Friday at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.
Russellville Police reported that 63-year old John D. Hancock, of Russellville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck Monday by the Logan County Coroner. Police say the wreck occurred at the intersection of Kentucky 178 and the US 68 Bypass when Hancock's pickup truck collided with a commercial motor vehicle. Hancock's passenger, Poe, had to be extricated from the truck and transported to a hospital by Logan County EMS.
