A motorcyclist died at the hospital after a crash on South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville on Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say that at 11:55 am, a motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Joe Taylor of Hopkinsville was northbound when it collided with a tree-trimming truck that was turning onto South Virginia Street from Means Avenue.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says Taylor was given CPR and taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health, where he later died from his injuries.
Medical helicopters were called, but due to the extent of his injuries, he was not able to be flown.
Taylor’s name was released by the Christian County Coroner’s Office after his next of kin was notified.
