After several years of steady construction and upgrades, Trigg County Public Schools is expecting a quieter summer on campus — with one key project still nearing completion.
Superintendent Dr. Rex Booth said this will be the first summer in quite some time without a major construction initiative, following a series of renovations and construction across the campus.
click to download audioBooth said that a break from large-scale work will allow staff to focus on smaller maintenance needs, including paving, sealing, and general upkeep throughout the campus.
The main project still underway is the installation of a new elevator inside the Trigg County High School gymnasium.
click to download audioThe gymnasium has undergone a multi-phase upgrade in recent years, including structural improvements, updated seating, and enhancements.
Once the elevator is installed and operational, Booth said the district hopes to host a formal grand reopening of the gym to mark the project’s completion.
