Thomas Eugene Duncan, 88, of Guthrie

Memorial Services for 88 year old Thomas Eugene Duncan of Guthrie will be held Monday, May 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY with military honors.

Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

THIRTEEN GRANDCHILDREN:

Mathis, Ellie, Jaxen and Brooklyn Duncan;

Jaida, Jordin, Joel and Javon Amison;

Millie McBreairty, Karter Finnegan;

Maddox, Lylah and Issac Proud.

Thomas Eugene Duncan was born in Nashville, TN on February 10, 1938 to Thomas Rye Duncan and Mildred Jackson Duncan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Mary Russell Duncan; daughter, Josephine Finnegan; Granddaughter, Carolyn Amison; Grandson, John Finnegan; four sisters, Betty Barnett, Jackie Evans Richardson, Marie Maxsym, Mary Belback; two brothers, Carl Duncan and Gary Duncan.

He died on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at his home.

Thomas was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Guthrie and a US Army Veteran.

He was a retired painter from TVA. After retirement he worked as a custodian at Todd Co. School System. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan, loved being outdoors working in the yard and his greatest love was his grandkids.
