A woman was charged after a pursuit in Hopkinsville on Sunday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop an SUV on Fort Campbell Boulevard at Eagle Way for careless driving, and the driver fled at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit reportedly came to an end on Oak Street with the driver fleeing on foot.

Deputies say the passenger, Teona Williams, was taken into custody, and after a search, marijuana, along with other drugs, were found inside the vehicle.

The driver has not been located. Williams is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies were assisted by Hopkinsville Police and Kentucky State Police.
