Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism is partnering with WKDZ to launch a new photo contest to showcase the beauty, culture, and everyday life throughout Trigg County.
Tourism Executive Director Beth Sumner says the contest is designed to highlight local experiences while also helping build a library of images that can be used to promote the area to visitors.
Sumner says photos are one of the most effective ways to tell Trigg County’s story, especially moments captured on the water, outdoors, or at community events.

Other categories include heritage and rural life, night skies, and historical photos—especially those tied to the Trigg County Country Ham Festival, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

Winners will be selected in each category, with at least a $25 prize awarded in each, and a $100 grand prize for the best overall photo.
The contest runs through May 10, with winners expected to be announced on May 18 following review by a selection committee.
Sumner says the contest is open to everyone—from experienced photographers to casual participants—and encourages residents to look through their phones or photo collections for submissions.
She says even photos that don’t win could still be valuable in promoting the community, noting that the goal is to gather as many quality images as possible to highlight what makes Trigg County unique.
Entries can be submitted through the contest page at WKDZradio.com.
