Helen Juanita Morris, 98, of Cadiz

Helen Juanita Wallace Morris, age 98, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Born on August 24, 1927, in Stewart County, Tennessee, Helen was the daughter of Whit Wallace, Sr. and Mertie Dennis Wallace.

She was one of eight siblings, including her brothers Mervin Wallace and Whit “Buddy” Wallace, Jr., and sisters Ophie Kingins, Sara Harris, Neva Earhart, Verble Castile, and Thelma “Sissy” Ezell. Together, they shared an unbreakable bond. Helen was especially close to her sisters, and when they got together, they loved to sing hymns, share stories, and laugh.

On October 8, 1949, Helen married Lacy Ethell Morris. She was a dedicated homemaker and a loving mother to their daughter Wilda Ann. Helen devoted her days to caring for her family and helping out on the family farm. She enjoyed tending to her garden and was especially proud of her beautiful roses, irises, and peonies.

Helen was a faithful member of Joiner’s Chapel Church of Christ for many years. She loved her Lord and enjoyed the fellowship of her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved son-in-law, Billy Hampton.

Helen is survived by her devoted husband of over 76 years, Lacy Ethell Morris of Cadiz; her loving daughter, Wilda Ann Hampton of Cadiz; her grandsons, Joey Hampton (Sarah) and Jeff Hampton; and her great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Hampton and Will Hampton.

Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 26, 2026, with Jerry Crunk officiating. Burial will follow in Joiner’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the service at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the funeral time of 2:00 PM.
