24 (A) CotW Zoning Update

Zoning regulations could soon get an update in Christian County thanks to state legislation around modular homes. Thursday night, Community Development Planning Director, Tom Britton told the Committee of the Whole the Planning Commission is holding a public hearing Monday to discuss 9 changes to the code.

Since the state law requires modular homes to be held to the same standards as single family homes, Britton says they are proposing four main changes.

The new rules would also require a concrete or masonary skirt for any home not on a slab or with an enclosed crawspace. The third piece is a minimum roof pitch. The last major change would allow for exemptions in certain cases.

In other business, the Committee of the Whole heard a request from the Boys and Girls Club.
