
The 59th annual Cadiz Rotary Radio Auction collected over $32,000 from Trigg County Public Schools during Education Night on Thursday.
During the broadcast on WKDZ-FM, Primary School Principal Lindsey Kinslow shared that they raised nearly $8,500.
Intermediate Principal Lisa Bush added that they brought in $6,500.
Middle school Assistant Athletic Director Kyle Bleidt presented an over $6,500 donation.
Trigg County High School raised $7,500, with student Caroline Kosak sharing how her peers chipped in.
Wendy Ahart, bookkeeper for the Trigg County Career and Technical Center and incoming athletic director, shared that they raised $3,000.
Nate Grinols, welding instructor at the CTC Building, thanked Rotary for the help his department has received.
A $1,000 donation was also presented to Rotary from the Cadiz Baptist Church Christian Academy.
As for totals from Thursday night, the Country Store brought in $328, HandBid auctions raked in $2,531, while the live auction raised $22,875. The Century Club also met a $10,000 match and raised a total of $20,495 on Thursday night.
The club will be working with a $25,000 matching donation on Friday night.
As for dinner, Genesis Express will be serving fried catfish and sides beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday. Auction coverage will continue at 6:00 PM Friday on 106.5 WKDZ-FM and WKDZradio.com.
