A road project in Cadiz is set to resume next week, bringing temporary closures and traffic impacts.
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 124, also known as Cerulean Road, at its intersection with KY 139/Jefferson Street starting as early as Monday, April 20, weather permitting.
The closure will affect a short stretch between KY 139 and Line Street to allow for realignment and reconstruction of the intersection.
Drivers can also expect intermittent delays on KY 139 as crews move equipment and complete sidewalk work, with flaggers directing traffic.
The project, which was paused in December, is now scheduled for completion by May 30. It is part of the state’s Six-Year Highway Plan and includes excavation, drainage improvements, and new asphalt and concrete paving, with a total investment of about $872,000.
