
The 59th annual Cadiz Rotary Radio Auction met its match for the Trigg County Veterans Memorial on Wednesday night.
Club President Beth Sumner shared the news after an over $33,000 donation came in from a ‘Friend of Rotary’ in honor of ‘Seven Friends,’ who passed away on December 15, 1993.
With the match from the club, over $200,000 was raised for the memorial at the intersection of Kentucky 272 and U.S. 68/Kentucky 80 in western Trigg County. Donations can still be made here.
Sumner also announced that the live auction on Wednesday night brought in $19,432, the HandBid app raked in over $2,000, while the Country Store raised $515.
Night four of the auction continues Thursday night with dinner served at 5:00. It will be served by Trigg County Project Graduation for the Class of 2026. They will be cooking burgers, hot dogs, smoked bologna, and chicken breast sandwiches.
The live auction will start at 6:00 PM with a special presentation from Trigg County Public Schools at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex at 82 Main Street. Live coverage continues on 106.5 WKDZ-FM and WKDZradio.com.
