An issue with a ceiling in the courthouse on Main Street in Hopkinsville led to the building being temporarily closed on Thursday morning.

Christian County Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam says the issue is not believed to be a structural issue, but due to a portion of plaster failing, the building is temporarily closed.

Engineers have been called to check the building before it is reopened.
