A traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard at Polk Road led to drug charges for a Clarksville man on Saturday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Darriean Botello for his registration plates being canceled, and during the stop, they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
After a search of the vehicle, marijuana, along with a drink believed to contain codeine, was found.
He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and improper display of registration plates.
