Man Charged With Trafficking Drugs In Hopkinsvill

A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs after a search of his home on Cherry Street in Hopkinsville on Thursday.

Hopkinsville Police say they went to the home of 52-year-old Larry Penman and after a search found 212 grams of meth, 58 grams of crack cocaine, 7 grams of cocaine, approximately 4.5 pounds of synthetic drugs, 52 grams of marijuana, and 63 assorted pills.

Police say $1,028, a 7.62 caliber rifle, approximately 80 rounds of 7.62 caliber ammunition, and four magazines were also found.

Penman was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking marijuana, trafficking meth, trafficking cocaine, trafficking in synthetic drugs, and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
