Alfred Marbry Hayes, 68, of Hopkinsville

Alfred Marbry Hayes of Hopkinsville found peace and eternal rest on Monday, March 23, at his home.

He was born November 22, 1957 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He graduated from Ansbach American High School in Ansbach, Germany in 1977.

Alfred was a police officer in New York City and a former correctional officer in Nashville, Tennessee.

He served his country from 1980 to 1983 in the United States Army.

Alfred was a member of Freeman Chapel CME church where he served on the Trustee board and
kitchen committee. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

He will be missed by all that loved him.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Lois (née White) Hayes, two daughters, Shannon Bush and Janelle
Hayes both of Alexandria, VA. Brother, Michael Hayes, Clarksville,TN, sisters, Wanda Bush, Oak Grove,

Shirley Hayes, Kapolei, HI, sisters-in-law, Vicki White, Evansville, IN., Jacquelyn White, Nashville,
TN. Two grandchildren, seven nieces, five nephews, 35 great nieces and nephews and a host of other close relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Freeman Chapel CME Church at 12 noon. Visitation will began at 10am till funeral time.

Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
