
First reported by Kentucky Today’s content editor Chip Hutcheson, Nicholas “Nick” Clark, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Trigg County since 2019, has been named executive director of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana.
He announced his resignation Sunday, effective April 19, and will begin his new role April 27 in Martinsville, Indiana.
Clark is a native of Indiana who has held several ministry and leadership roles across Kentucky and Indiana, and he is active in state and national Baptist life.
He currently serves as a trustee with the International Mission Board and as an adjunct professor with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Kentucky Baptist Convention Executive Director Todd Gray called Clark an “outstanding choice,” noting his leadership and evangelistic focus, and Clark told Hutcheson he is “honored” to return to his home state and looks forward to strengthening cooperation among Indiana Baptist churches.
Clark and his wife, Callie, have four children.
