A Cadiz man was charged Saturday after an investigation into fraudulent barcodes being used at local businesses.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they searched a camper on Apostle Paul Loop and located meth, several digital scales, plastic baggies commonly used for distribution of drugs, along with other drug paraphernalia.

The investigation also reportedly led to the discovery of a compact printer and a large amount of suspected manufactured barcode labels.

Deputies say 47-year-old Bryan Blunck was taking pictures of barcodes on items, then making a new barcode on a computer with a significantly lower price than advertised and applying it to the item before purchasing it.

He was arrested and charged with trafficking meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a legend drug, and third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
