A traffic stop for an expired registration plate on Pembroke Oak Grove Road led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville man on Wednesday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by Ashley Lawrence, and she told deputies there may be an open alcohol container in the vehicle.

The passenger, 33-year-old Philip Vrhovnik, was moving around oddly, and deputies say he admitted to trying to hide a meth pipe and meth.

The drugs were reportedly located after consent from Lawrence to search the vehicle, and Vrhovnik was arrested and charged with possession of meth second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
