Funeral services for 82-year-old Nell Fowler of Gracey will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home with Bro. John Hagan officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at King’s Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ray Fowler, Gracey; son Jeff Fowler, Gracey; daughter Jill Bivins (Mike), Gracey; brothers Bobby Ray Sholar, Hopkinsville; Jackie Lynn Sholar (Teresa), Gracey; sisters Sue Mock, Hopkinsville; Lou Butts (James), Cadiz; Wanda Morris (Danny), Gracey; and Martha Bunn, Tampa, FL; sister in law Gayla Curtis Sholar, Cadiz.
Three grandchildren, T.J. Joiner, Todd Joiner, and Maci Joiner;
Eight great-grandchildren: Braylon, Braci, Kyler, Harlem, Brynlee, Everly, Kyden, Bella.
Nell Fowler was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on May 28, 1943, to Ernest William Sholar, Sr., and Mary Frances Wright Sholar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Wayne Sholar and Ernest Sholar, Jr.; grandson, Dustin Ray Fowler; great-grandson, Trayton Blaze Joiner; sister-in-law, Doris Sholar; and brother-in-law, Don Mock.
She died on Monday, March 16, 2026, at her home.
Nell was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. She had worked at Cayce-Yost and J Schrecker Jewelry Store. Nell enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
