Fundraising efforts are continuing in Christian County this month to support a local student battling a serious illness.
The “Chase-ing Victory Campaign” was launched last fall to assist Chase Pemberton, who is undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Community members, schools, and local organizations have been collecting donations to help the Pemberton family cover expenses related to his ongoing medical care.
Organizers say the campaign is entering its final month and are encouraging residents to help the effort finish strong. Donations of gift cards are currently the most helpful to the family as they continue to navigate treatment, related travel, and daily costs.
Requested items include gift cards for:
Walmart
Target
DoorDash
UberEATS
Zaxby’s
Chick-fil-A
General Visa gift cards
Gift cards may be dropped off at the Christian County Public Schools Central Office and at any school Family Resource and Youth Services Center location across the district.
The collection will continue through the end of the month, with organizers saying the support will help the family cover everyday needs while Chase continues his treatment.
