Not Many Residents Address Budget Town Hall

As the City of Hopkinsville prepares for budget season, officials are asking residents what they want to see money spent on.

Monday night, the City held a Budget Town Hall, attended by a dozen residents.

Mayor JR Knight said public safety takes up a large portion of the annual budget, but they want to see where to focus other dollars.

click to download audioThe project may include redesigning the West 7th and  West 9th intersection. Residents brought up drainage issues and road conditions, with the Mayor saying respective departments are working on those issues on an ongoing basis.
