Timothy Wayne Marlowe, age 57, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
Born on September 20, 1968, in Cadiz, Tim was the son of the late Edward "Doc" Marlowe and Lavina P'Pool Marlowe.
After graduating from Trigg County High School in 1987, Tim dedicated his 30-year career to Lake Barkley State Resort Park, beginning as a busboy in the dining room before advancing to his role in the maintenance department. There, he contributed to every aspect of the park's operations and grounds keeping, including the golf course, with unwavering dedication and a pleasant demeanor that endeared him to co-workers and visitors alike. After retiring from the park, Tim worked as a funeral assistant at Goodwin Funeral Home, where he greeted families and guests with the same kindness and compassion that characterized his life.
Tim was a devoted member of Living Hope Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. He loved the Lord and was always eager to share that love and his testimony with others. He had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing praises with the Little River Baptist Association Men's Choir, as well as occasionally performing solo at the Lakeland Jamboree.
Tim had many interests. He enjoyed the thrill of WWF Wrestling, cheered fervently for the Miami Dolphins, and was a loyal fan of University of Kentucky basketball. His greatest joy, however, was found in the company of his wife, Lynn, whom he married on April 14, 1990. Tim adored Lynn. They enjoyed taking many trips over the years and spending time with their dogs, Daisy and Sadie. Tim never met a stranger. His friendly nature, genuineness, and ability to cut up with people left a mark on everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Marlowe, and a sister-in-law, Peggy Marlowe.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 36 years, Lynn Canada Marlowe of Cadiz; his brothers, Ray Marlowe of Cadiz and Rickie Marlowe of Phenix City, Alabama; his sister, Janice Miller (Bridgie) of Princeton, Kentucky; and sisters-in-law, Karen Marlowe of Frankfort, Kentucky and Diane Marlowe of Cadiz; as well as his parents-in-law, Doug and Nancy Canada of Fredonia, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with Rev. Darrell Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in East End Cemetery.
