A wreck involving a light pole on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville sent a Hopkinsville man to the hospital Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say at 8 pm, they were called for a westbound truck driven by 44-year-old Steven Johnson that hit a light pole in front of Whistle Stop Donuts.
Johnson reportedly told law enforcement he got into an argument with the passenger, leading to the crash.
Johnson’s passenger, 51-year-old Derrick Poole suffered a head injury and was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment. Johnson was arrested and charged with DUI.
