Two Charged After A Fight On Means Avenue

Two women were charged after a fight led to a gun being brandished on Means Avenue in Hopkinsville on Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 41-year-old April Moore who brandished a gun at another woman while yelling about a prior altercation between the two.

Police say Moore was located in a traffic stop on Cox Mill Road and her passenger 56-year-old Jacqueline Knight was found to have a gun and hollow point ammunition in her purse along with Xanax and Klonopin that were not in a proper container but she claimed were prescribed to her.

She was also reportedly found to have meth and a syringe but claimed it was someone else’s.

Knight was arrested and charged with possession of meth. third-degree possession of a controlled substance, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, and using restricted ammo during a felony – no shots.

Moore was also arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, using restricted ammo during a felony – no shots, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
