Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear confirmed Tuesday that military personnel based in the Commonwealth are among six U.S. service members killed following Iranian retaliatory strikes.

The casualties occurred during “Operation Epic Fury,” a joint U.S.-Israeli campaign launched after a precision strike eliminated Iran’s Supreme Leader and top regime officials.

Governor Beshear called for prayers for the fallen heroes and their families.

President Donald Trump addressed the nation, honoring the “ultimate sacrifice” of the troops while warning that further casualties are possible as the conflict escalates. U.S. Central Command reported that at least five other service members were seriously wounded.
