Saturday night was a great night for a local non-profit as community members strutted across the Alhambra stage pretending to sing. Joy Closet Co-Director, Julia Roberts says the 2nd Lip Sync Battle was amazing.
Each round saw two groups battle head to head to see who could be crowned. Foster Mom Squad, Valor United Dads, Planters Bank, and H&R AgriPower each took their respective rounds. Then the crowd voted on an overall winner. For the second year, that honor went to H&R.
Darrin Hunt says they put in a lot of work with 20 employees participating in the multi-song performance.
Before announcing the winners, Emcee Becky Dearman announced how much the event raised.
Roberts says they can't do it with out community support.
Joy Closet is already planning for the 3rd Lip Sync Battle so Roberts encourages you to get your team, pick your music, and start practicing those moves.
The next big event for the non-profit is its Nerf Wars coming up in April. Tickets will go on sale soon and they do still need sponsors for the event.
