A Clarksville man was charged with assault, along with being arrested for a warrant in connection with a pursuit in Oak Grove on Saturday afternoon.
Oak Grove Police say 28-year-old Hamilton Narcisse was located Saturday after his girlfriend reported he assaulted her on Friday by charging at her, striking her in the face multiple times, throwing her on the couch, choking her, holding her hostage, and threatening to kill her with a knife in his hand.
She reported that she did not call the police the day it happened because he threatened to kill her mother as well. Police say she had injuries consistent with the assault.
Narcisse was reportedly located on Saturday after fleeing from law enforcement and trying to break into a home, but was taken into custody.
He was reportedly found to have a pipe commonly used for drugs in his possession, and he was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Police say Narcisse had a warrant in connection to an incident on January 17th when officers stopped him for speeding on Fort Campbell Boulevard, and he fled in the vehicle, and the pursuit was terminated.
After further investigation, he was reportedly identified by the vehicle’s owner as the driver.
Narcisse is being held in the Christian County Jail on charges of first-degree assault, second-degree burglary, disregarding a stop sign, disregarding a traffic light, driving on a DUI-suspended license, speeding, first-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first- and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
