A traffic stop on East 7th Street in Hopkinsville led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville man on Valentine’s Day.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 62-year-old James Morris due to excessive window tint, and during the stop, he appeared to be nervous and admitted his driver’s license was suspended.

Deputies say as they talked with him, they could see a bag of suspected crack cocaine inside his open pocket. He was then arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, excessive windshield or window tinting, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
