
Christian County’s Grand Jury returned several indictments last Friday, leading to serious charges in multiple cases.
A true bill has been returned on 43-year-old Leon Davie, of Hopkinsville, for one count of first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, third-degree fleeing police and alcohol intoxication.
On, or about, December 13, 2025, in Christian County, Davie caused physical injury to a woman by use of a hammer during an altercation. He fled North McPherson Avenue on foot, only to be quickly apprehended by the Hopkinsville Police Department.
Bail has been set at $50,000.
A true bill has been returned on 61-year-old David Hakes, of Hopkinsville, for 21 counts of possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor over 12 years old but under 18 years old.
The Hopkinsville Police Department reports this occurred on, or about, September 23-25, 2025.
Bail has been set at $5,000.
A true bill has been returned on 24-year-old Montray Bibbs, of Hopkinsville, for one count of first-degree criminal abuse of a child under the age of 12.
On, or about, December 16, 2025, the Hopkinsville Police Department reported Bibbs placed the child in a situation that may have caused serious physical injury. Officials also noted Bibbs got into an argument with the child’s mother, and fled the home with the child.
Several agencies were contact to help locate the duo, who were eventually located at a gas station.
Bibbs was released on recognizance with an ankle monitor.
A true bill has been returned on 41-year-old Richard Woodson, of Clarksville, Tennessee, with several counts, including first-degree strangulation, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, two counts of third-degree assault of a peace officer and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
On, or about, November 27, 2025, and according to Oak Grove Police Department, Woodson resisted arrest in Christian County.
A $30,000 bond has been posted.
In 2023, Woodson was found “not guilty” in Montgomery County for three counts of attempted first-degree murder and multiple other charges related to a 2020 Roselawn Drive drive-by shooting, which — according to Clarksville Now — did not result to injuries.
In fact, Woodson was acquitted of 12 total charges, including possessing a firearm with intent to go armed, reckless endangerment by discharging a firearm into an occupied home, and two counts of felon in possession of a firearm.
A true bill has been returned for 50-year-old Julian Bell, of Hopkinsville, for second-degree assault domestic violence.
On, or about, December 17, 2025, Hopkinsville Police reported Bell pushed, punched and threw a woman into concrete, causing serious physical injury. It was further noted that Bell got into an argument with his daughter and chased her behind a business on Fort Campbell Boulevard, leading to the altercation.
Each party called for law enforcement, and review of surveillance video led to his arrest.
Of a $10,000 bail, 10% has been posted.
