State budget hearings are dominating activity in the Kentucky General Assembly as the session nears the halfway point.
Ninth District State Representative Myron Dossett, who serves on the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee, says there is some misinformation being circulated about the budget bill that has been filed.
Dossett says a generic budget was filed because of varying answers from those presenting budget requests in the fall.
He says the Appropriations and Revenue Committee is continuing to build the budget for the next two years as they hear requests from the Governor's cabinet.
Dossett represents Christian County in the Kentucky General Assembly. He also serves as chairman of the Kentucky House Agriculture Committee.
