Authur Ray Dixon, 53, of Hopkinsville

Authur Ray Dixon gained his angel wings and is rejoicing in heaven at the age 53. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at his home of natural causes.

The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.

Authur was born in Chicago, IL, on May 4, 1972, the son of Ollie Ruth Dixon and the late Authur Ray Williams. He worked many jobs. He was a hard worker and put his passion into everything he did. Authur was a Barber and a Chef. He loved cooking, dancing, bowling, and playing basketball. His caregiver title was one he cherished dearly, as being the home health caregiver for his beloved grandmother up to her passing at the age of 102. He was most recently employed at Food Giant. He could chop it up with anybody, nobody was a stranger to Authur, and he will be missed deeply by all. He attended Revival Center Ministries in Vallejo, CA.  In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his auntie, Bernadine Dixon; his uncle, Howard Dixon; and his beloved grandmother, Philomae Dixon.

In addition to his mother, Ollie Ruth Dixon of Gary, IN, survivors include his daughters, Jacora Dixon and Jakayla Dixon both of Chicago, IL; his son, Mykel Chilton of Hopkinsville; his brothers, Walter Reese Dixon of Hopkinsville, Contrail Travante Dixon of Santa Rosa, CA, Ontonio Harris of Memphis, TN; his aunties, Mary Stutts of Fairfield, CA, Walterine Dixon Sanders of Memphis, TN, Sheryl Williams of Chicago, IL; and a host nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
