State Police Checkpoints Lead To Several Citations

Several citations were issued during Super Bowl weekend at traffic safety checkpoints conducted by Kentucky State Police Posts 1 and 2.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 says a traffic checkpoint on Kentucky 115 near the state line in Christian County led to approximately 65 vehicle inspections, resulting in 23 total citations, including 4 drug-related and 4 impaired drivers.

Over the weekend, Post 2 troopers issued 232 citations, arrested 8 impaired drivers, and made 9 drug arrests, along with serving 14 warrants and answering 38 calls of service.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 says they had two traffic safety checkpoints, made 40 independent traffic stops, with 28 citations issued and 3 arrests made 1 arrest was a DUI, while the other 2 were for racing on public roadways and wanton endangerment.
