Paulette Calder Paumen, age 68, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Smith officiating, and burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the service time at 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Paulette was born in Charleston, MS, on July 29, 1957, to the late John Thomas “J.T.” Calder and Bertha Jean Steadman Calder. She spent most of her time as a stay-at-home loving mother, but when she worked outside the home, she worked and retired as a Retail Manager at Big Lots. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Trigg County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Howard James Calder and Wade Calder, and her sister, Alvia Joy Walton.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Craig Paumen of Hopkinsville; her sons, Jeramie (Melinda) Wooten of Grenada, MS, and Richard (Pamela Brace) Wooten of Yellville, AR; her daughters, Ashley Wooten of Gracey, KY, and Dawn Paumen of Hopkinsville; her sister, Violet Lynn “LuLu” (David) Coaten of Oakland, MS; her brother-in-law, Ezra Walton of Tillatoba, MS, her thirteen grandchildren, Jeramie Wooten, Jr., Colton Wooten, Destiny Wooten, Serenity Oliver, Aidan List, Richard Wooten, Jr., David Brace, Damien Wooten, Makenzie Foster, Alyssa Ferrell, Trinitie Ferrell, Paxton Mclaughlin, and Paisley Mclaughin; and her one great grandson, Keyanta Griffie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to any charity of the giver’s choice.
