Hopkinsville Man Fatally Shot By Officers In Frankfort

A Hopkinsville man was fatally shot in Frankfort during an incident Saturday night.

According to Kentucky State Police the agency’s Critical Incidence Response Team is investigating the shooting that claimed the life of 56-year-old Bryan Radford of Hopkinsville. State Police say shortly before 6:00 Saturday night officers from the Frankfort Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shots fired report at a Ridgewood Drive home.

When law enforcement arrived on the scene, they reportedly made contact with Radford, who then went into the home and came back outside with a handgun. Officers fired their weapons, which resulted in Radford being fatally shot.

State Police say no officers were injured in the shooting.
