Christian County Public Schools will remain closed Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, due to ongoing winter storm conditions and hazardous travel. Inspire Early Learning Center will also remain closed through Friday.

District officials say prolonged cold temperatures have prevented snow-covered roads and school campuses from clearing safely.

Both days will be Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days #5 and #6. Students are encouraged to complete NTI work if able, though the district says schools will be flexible in cases of weather-related issues, power outages, or other disruptions.

All CCPS athletic events, activities, and extracurriculars are canceled through Friday.

Grab-N-Go food bundles for CCPS students in PreK through 12th grade will be available Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Indian Hills Elementary School in Hopkinsville. Parents and guardians must sign for meals; students do not need to be present.

Updates will be shared through ParentSquare, CCPS social media, and local media outlets. District officials encourage families to stay warm and safe.
