Lori Marshall, 64, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 while her husband held her hand at Baptist Health Deaconess.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is assisting with arrangements.
Raised in Hopkinsville, KY she was born December 27, 1961 the daughter of the late Robert Lawrence Sweet and Joyce Pearson Sweet. She worked as a secretary throughout her life. She attended a Baptist church in Madisonville, KY. Most of all she loved to sew quilts. Often she would have three separate quilts in progress on three different sewing machines. She loved to express herself and enjoy her free time crafting new quilts. Her family will deeply miss the warmth her quilts and her love would spread.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son: Kevin Whittinghill; and her brother: Donald Sweet.
She is survived by her husband: Rickie Marshall; her son: Lucas Whittinghill; her brother: Darren Sweet; her sisters: Kathleen Sweet and Tina Sweet; and her grandchildren: Lucas “Luca” Jr., Silas, Phobe, and Enoch.
