A stolen side-by-side has been recovered after a pursuit in a field near Lafayette Road on Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a side-by-side driven by 36-year-old Michael Ravenscroft on Lafayette Road that had been reported stolen, and the driver fled, going into a field right away before wrecking into a ditch and coming to a stop.
Officers reportedly terminated the pursuit due to the road conditions, but Ravenscroft then drove into a field.
Police say Ravenscroft had two passengers in the vehicle who told him to stop and let them out, but he refused.
Hopkinsville Police were assisted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police.
Ravenscroft was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property, operating on a suspended or revoked license, two counts of first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
