Chief Petty Officer Colin P. Kelly (Retired) USN, 83, of Clarksville, TN died at 3:34 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Altavista, Virginia he was born February 25, 1942 the son of the late R.J. Kelly and Lennie Martin Kelly. Following retirement from the US Navy, Colin worked as a limousine driver for Carey International.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: R.J. Kelly and Jerry Kelly; and his sister: Betty Gentry.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Brenda Kelly; his daughters: Pamela (Keith) Morris of Cedar Hill, TN, Lisa (George) Davy of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Deborah Kelly of Clarksville, TN; his brother: Terry Kelly of Altavista, VA; his grandchildren: Angelia Collins, Amanda (Zach) Goodwin, Ashleigh (Travis) Frye, Katie Crawley, and Austin Crawley; and six great grandchildren.
