Kathy Horinek, 47, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at her residence.
Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with arrangements.
A native of Yonkers, New York, she was born on October 12, 1978, the daughter of Robert Hunt and Gail Greenfield. Kathy was a very artistic soul who loved to express herself and enjoy crafting, including Legos, Christmas villages, decorating, and many other forms of art. Another artistic way she expressed herself was by being a part of the Fort Campbell Pin-Up Girls. Kathy, above all, was a caring mother and a productive homemaker for her family. She was supportive of her daughter’s endeavor within the Girl Scouts on Fort Campbell by taking on the role of Girl Scout Leader. She continued her support for other military families by actively participating in Wreaths Across America each year.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William “Bill” Hunt and Gean Hunt.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, William Horinek; her daughters, Lila June Horinek and Alexis Horinek; her parents, Robert (Patti) Hunt and Gail Greenfield; her siblings, Matthew (Lindsey) Hunt and Linda Ruiz; her granddaughter, Charlotte Lewis; and her nephew, Colin Hunt.
