A Crofton woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Madisonville Friday night.
Madisonville Police report the collision occurred just before 6:00 p.m. when 49-year old Melinda Wheatley was driving south on Grapevine Road and attempted a left turn at Woodlawn Drive and pulled in front of a northbound SUV driven by 18-year-old Kyra Schmaltz of Madisonville.
Police say that due to the wet road conditions and limited time to react, Schmaltz was unable to stop and collided with Wheatley’s SUV.
According to police, Wheatley was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville for non-life-threatening injuries.
