Maxine Baker, age 77, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Christian Heights Nursing and Rehab in Pembroke, due to natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Private Family Burial Service to be held at a later date in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Maxine was born in Christian County, KY, on September 24, 1948, the daughter of the late Edward Clifton Baker and Nellie Mae Boyd Baker. She was of the Baptist Faith and had previously worked in a factory and as a sitter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Michelle Pepper.
Survivors include her son, James Edward (Kelli) Pepper of Hopkinsville; her daughter, Sandy Outland of Hopkinsville; her three grandchildren, MaKayla Jo Pepper, Steven Robert Outland, and Tiffany Dawn Outland (David) Champion; and her three great-grandchildren, Sabrina Cheyenne Victoria Outland, Steven James Robert Outland, and Case Michael Outland.
