A Clarksville man was charged with fleeing from police in Oak Grove Saturday morning.
Oak Grove Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 29-year-old James Coutourier for speeding on Fort Campbell Boulevard and he got onto Interstate 24 before coming to a stop.
He reportedly argued with law enforcement and they could smell the odor of marijuana in the vehicle.
Police say he was found to have a suspended license and kicked and spat on an officer during the arrest.
Coutourier was arrested and charged with speeding, first-degree fleeing or evading police, operating on a suspended or revoked license, failure to surrender a revoked operator’s license, resisting arrest, and second-degree assault of a police officer.
