Patricia Joy Maier, 72, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, at home in Cadiz, Kentucky. She was born June 2, 1953, to the late George E. and Dolores A. Maier, in Louisville, Kentucky. Patti was raised in Shively, Kentucky, and graduated from Butler High School.
“Exacta Patti” loved the horses, NASCAR, especially Martin Truex, Jr., and fishing. She could walk out her back door and fish Lake Barkley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Dale Thomas, and her nephews Michael Maier and Joshua Maier.
Patti is survived by her husband, Kenny Busam, and her siblings, Valerie Maier Atzinger (Pete), Gary (Becky), Glenn (Patti), Pat (Chrissy), and Michael (Dana) Maier. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her good friend and caregiver Christy Nipper.
There will be no service at this time. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, Kentucky.
