A Cadiz woman was charged with criminal abuse after her child reportedly tested positive for drugs Friday night.
Cadiz Police say they were called by the hospital for a 9-month-old child who tested positive for THC and meth.
Police say the mother, 25-year-old Shytricia Saez, claimed she invited someone into the apartment to help with the child due to her being sick. The person was reportedly known to use drugs and claimed the child fell off the bed while Saez was cooking.
Saez was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal abuse. The other person has not been arrested.
