TSGT Charles Edward “Chub” Morgan, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the age of 86, at Ahava Healthcare of Clarksville.
The family has chosen cremation with a Graveside Committal Service to be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full Military Honors with Rev. Scott Leveque officiating and entombment to follow. Service dates and times will be available in the near future. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Morgan was born on February 28, 1939, in Hayti, MO, the son of the late Charles Edward Morgan and Lillian Mae Vinson Morgan. He was a member of Holland Baptist Church. Charles proudly served his country and retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and then went on to work for MFA for 11 years leading up to his retirement. Chub loved spending time outside whether working in his yard or visiting with friends and taking long afternoon rides in the country with Barbara and their little dog Pasley. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, J.W. Morgan; his sisters, Dorothy Simmons, Bethel Morgan, and Charlene Powell.
Survivors include his soulmate of 64 years, Barbara Norrid Morgan of Hopkinsville; his two beloved daughters, Karen Renee Morgan Redden and husband Jeff of Wichita, KS, Kay Morgan Cessna and her husband John of Hopkinsville; his sister, Demetra Morgan Shanks of Washington State; his five grandchildren, George Jacob Redden and wife Sydney of Arlington, VA, Lindsay Hope Redden Base and husband Scott of Lawrence, KS, John Edward Cessna and wife Mackenzie of Hopkinsville, Chad Allen Cessna, Nathan Daniel Cessna; his three great grandchildren, Maddax Layne Base, John “JJ” Edward Cessna II, and Cooper Shawn Cessna; and multiple nieces and nephews.
