A Clarksville man was charged with slashing tires at the jail after being released from jail on Christmas Eve.
Hopkinsville Police say 44-year-old Miguel Pena was released from jail after being arrested for disorderly conduct, then slashed the tires on vehicles parked at the jail.
Police say he was located on the walking trail but would not follow the officer’s commands before he was taken into custody, then spat into the front of the cruiser while being taken to jail.
Pena is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault of a police officer, and tampering with physical evidence.
