The Trigg County Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday the hiring of Karen Sue C. Stanfield as its new Membership and Events Director.

Stanfield will begin her role on January 5.

She brings more than 25 years of experience in program development, organizational leadership and community engagement. Known for her collaborative, people-centered approach and her work building partnerships, supporting small businesses, and connecting communities, Stanfield is a former small business owner who created and facilitated multiple farmers markets, including iPICKHERE.com — an online marketplace that expanded access for local farmers and vendors.

Her professional background reflects a focus on innovation, local enterprise, and sustainable community growth.

Stanfield is a recent resident of Cadiz, having relocated to Trigg County with her husband, Pastor Sean Stanfield. Since arriving, she has been actively involved in the community, volunteering with efforts such as the November Mobile Food Distribution and the Diaper Bank Ministry at LifeBridge United Methodist Church.

Chamber President Kara Allen said Stanfield’s experience, energy and commitment to community make her a strong addition to the Chamber team and well-suited to support members and strengthen connections throughout Trigg County.

Stanfield and her husband are parents to seven children and share their home with several pets. In her personal time, she enjoys maintaining a country retreat, attending bluegrass and Americana music festivals and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.

Chamber officials noted they look forward to the leadership and enthusiasm Stanfield will bring as it continues serving local businesses and the broader Trigg County community.
