Two Charged With Drug Trafficking In Christian County

A traffic stop on Interstate 169 in Christian County led to drug charges for a man and a woman Saturday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Dale Hicks for not being able to maintain his lane at the 19-mile marker.

Hicks reportedly showed signs of being under the influence of some substance and stated he had fentanyl in his pocket.

After a search of the vehicle, Hicks and his passenger, 49-year-old Kelly Richmond, were reportedly found with suspected fentanyl, needles, and other drug paraphernalia.

Hicks was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, and DUI. Richmond was also arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, promoting contraband – fentanyl, and tampering with physical evidence.
